EDITORS COMMENTS
This print titled "Symmetry" captures the awe-inspiring Red Arrows during their annual exercise in Greece. The image was taken at Tanagra Air base, located two hours north of Athens, where the renowned Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team has been deploying for the past two years. Here, they diligently practice their three types of displays, performing three times a day for five days a week. The precision and symmetry displayed by the Red Arrows is truly remarkable. As they soar through the sky in their T1 Hawk fixed-wing training aircraft, their synchronized maneuvers create an exquisite visual spectacle. This photograph perfectly encapsulates their expertise and dedication to perfection. After weeks of rigorous training and honing their skills, the team is granted Public Display Authorization as recognition of their exceptional abilities. This authorization allows them to showcase their breathtaking aerobatics to audiences around the world. Cpl Steve Buckley skillfully captured this momentous occasion with his camera lens as part of the RAF Photographic Competition 2016. His keen eye for detail highlights not only the technical prowess of these pilots but also showcases the beauty and artistry behind military aviation. This print serves as a testament to both teamwork and individual excellence within Armed Forces' display teams like no other - a stunning portrayal that will leave viewers captivated by its symmetrical brilliance.
