Pictured is the first Fairey Long Range Monoplane, pictured at Hinaidi, Iraq, on 16 May 1929.
The aircraft was returning to the UK after completing the first non-stop flight to India. After taking off from Cranwell, Lincolnshire, on 24 April the crew of two - (Squadron Leader AG Jones-Williams and Flight Lieutenant NH Jenkins - covered a distance of 4, 130 miles in 50 hours 48 minutes before landing at Karachi.
