Mr. B.C. Perone of Hunstanton, Norfolk, takes his flock of geese down on to the sands at Old Hunstanton once or twice a week. He takes them down to give them a dip in the sea pools that are left behind once the tide goes out.
Usually a little friend of his, nine year old Judy Stiles, comes down with him and helps with the rounding up and keeping in order.
Today Judys friend, Murial Watkins, 6, also came down on beach. For both children it was a great thrill.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Mr. B. C. Perone of Hunstanton, Norfolk, shares a special bond with his flock of geese as he leads them onto the sandy shores of Old Hunstanton. With the ebb and flow of the tide, Mr. Perone takes this opportunity once or twice a week to give his feathered companions a refreshing dip in the sea pools that remain behind. Accompanying him on these delightful outings is nine-year-old Judy Stiles, who has become a trusted little friend to Mr. Perone and an invaluable helper in keeping the geese organized. Today, however, another young girl named Murial Watkins joined them on the beach, adding an extra dose of excitement for both children. As they watched in awe, Mr. Perone guided his flock towards the water's edge while Judy and Murial marveled at this unique spectacle unfolding before their eyes. The sight of geese gracefully wading through gentle waves created an enchanting scene against the backdrop of Norfolk's picturesque coast. In this photograph captured by Doreen Spooner on September 6th, 1949 - during a time when holidays were cherished moments - we witness not only nature's beauty but also the joyous connection between humans and animals. It serves as a timeless reminder that simple pleasures can bring immense happiness to our lives.
